Intranet

Overview

Solutions2Share Intranet is a custom digital workplace solution integrated with Microsoft Teams. As the UX/UI designer, I created an intuitive interface to centralize company communication and enhance team productivity.

The project aimed to address information fragmentation and workflow inefficiencies in large organizations. Key features include a company news hub, team networking tools, event management, and external platform integrations like LinkedIn.

The design balances information density with ease of use, offering a clean, modern interface that caters to diverse user needs – from executives to team members. This responsive solution ensures seamless access across devices, supporting both office and remote work environments.

Problem Statement

Large organizations often struggle with fragmented communication channels and disjointed workflows, leading to decreased productivity and employee engagement. Team members waste valuable time searching for information across multiple platforms, resulting in inefficient collaboration and decision-making processes. There was a clear need for a centralized, user-friendly intranet solution within Microsoft Teams to streamline information access, enhance team connectivity, and improve overall organizational efficiency.

Competitors analysis

To inform the design of Solutions2Share Intranet, I conducted in-depth interviews with existing clients to understand their pain points and needs. These discussions revealed common challenges in information accessibility, team collaboration, and workflow management.

Additionally, I performed a competitive analysis focusing on leading intranet solutions for Microsoft Teams. Three notable competitors in this space are:

  1. Powell Software: Offers a customizable intranet solution integrated with Microsoft 365.
  2. Valo Intranet: Provides a modern intranet platform designed for SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
  3. LiveTiles: Delivers AI-powered intranet experiences within the Microsoft ecosystem.

This research highlighted opportunities for differentiation and innovation in our approach to creating a more intuitive and comprehensive intranet solution. Key insights from both user interviews and competitive analysis guided our design decisions, ensuring that Solutions2Share would address critical user needs while offering unique advantages in the market.
